ALL-DAY FUNDRAISING WORKSHOP

"LAUNCHING YOUR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN"

Embarking on a fundraising campaign for any purpose is both an exciting and an overwhelming experience for any non-profit organization. The eager anticipation of generating potentially hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars for your organization is frequently countered by the staggering amount of work that must be performed by a disproportionately small group of individuals. Complicating things further is the intense competition for donor dollars, the looming economic recession and ongoing cutbacks in government granting programs. In short, for some organizations the experience is absolutely frightening. Yet by adopting some basic strategies and approaches, non-profit groups can not only be assured a triumphant success for their campaign, they can also strengthen the overall effectiveness of their fund development programs.

Generating early momentum and feeding it until the target is achieved is the key to any successful fundraising campaign. Embracing this focus, participants in this day-long workshop will become acutely familiar with a sequence of steps that will initiate a succession of positive responses from lead donors that will set the tone for the entire appeal. Each of the techniques and solutions that will be introduced will be applicable to all types of fundraising drives including endowment, annual giving, research, deficit, emergency, and capital campaigns. Most important, participants will learn how to incorporate the facets of a fruitful campaign into their organization’s entire fund development program, thus enhancing their long-term sustainability.

With the aid of informative visual materials and sample campaign resources, participants enrolled in this interactive workshop will learn:

  • How to construct a compelling Case For Support that articulates the needs of your campaign inspires people to give;
  • About the components of your campaign’s infrastructure that supports the overall execution  and management of your fund development initiatives;
  • How to identify and assess the giving potential of your prospective donors;
  • The fundamentals of the donor solicitation process;
  • Easy approaches to making "the ask";
  • The importance of treating donors as "stakeholders".
